Haven't had time to mess with it to much, just googled around, checked some Windows options that may cause it, and tried switching display modes and rebooting in different ways to see if it would kick back in but non of that helped. I noticed that the touch screen wasn't responding the next day. Keyboard still worked though and managed to switch back to Mirror. While I was using only the external display the gamepad input completely stopped working in both X-Input and Mouse Mode, (I haven't used Direct Input so don't have it set up with steam and didn't have anything handy to test on). My guess is it occurred when I tried to show a friend a game off my Win via HDMI out, the game had issues with Mirror mode so I tried switching to external display only. I don't use the touch screen often so I'm not sure when it happened. Any luck figuring it out yet? I'm actually having a similar issue.
